Prediction League!!!!

I've been explaining betting odds to Tom as a means of teaching him about fractions and probability. It's surprisingly effective as a teaching aid.

His lesson at the weekend was about each way betting which won me £12 on Monty finishing runner-up in The Open!

Having seen two pre-season victories, who's going to place Slough in the top few places in the Prediction League. Still loads of time to enter.

Although it's been two wins and we've played quite well I'm not getting too caried away because of the standard of opposition.

Having seen the two games, in hindsight I might have put us a couple of places higher in my prediction league.

If Saulsbury was to sign and we solved our left side of midfield problem I might have put us pushing for a play-off spot.

Of course another problem might be getting a good start to the season with Ballard missing for 5 games and Chopper missing we are probably going to start with Hodgey alongside Daley and goals are going to be difficult to come by.

We've already proved we can beat AFC, even being generous enough to give them a two goal head start. I reckon we'll be promoted by the time we put eight past Windsor at Christmas. <img src="/forum/images/graemlins/wink.gif" alt="" />

Keep the predictions coming.......

That was with a slightly different team, both for us and AFC.

I think they will be a harder nut to crack this season. I was told last year that their manager has it in his contract that he has to get 4 promotions if 5 or 6 seasons. I think they have now had 2 out of 2. Both with diferent players.
