Whilst watching my son play cricket on Sunday for Rayleigh U11's against Ekco Monarchs & Trojans, I got talking to a really interesting chap.

 

His surname was Saggers and he is the dad of the two Saggers that played local non-league football in recent years.

 

He knew a great deal not only about local cricket but also about the local non-league football scene. He used to play for Chelmsford City in the 50's and more recnelty managed the National Water Board team.

 

He told me a few interesting stories from recent years on the Essex non-league scene, probably not appropriate for this board.

 

I would of thought somebody like MEAN IT MICK or Mr Chairman would know of him?
