Yes, it was 2-0. A good entertaining game considering it was a PSF and very hot. The first team "regulars" played in the first half, and the second half were mainly trialists (i guess) and a couple of youth and reserve players. I think it was only Chris Seeby who played both halves. It was a good performance from both St Albans teams. Kavanagh (I think) looked good at the back in the second half, and both number 14s (yes, we had two number 14s playing at the same time), and the player with no number, looked promising. Looking forward to Friday!

... oh yes, forgot to say - suprise return for Simon Martin. Not sure if he's actually signed for the club. He looked a yard off pace last night - lacking match fitness? He was good to see him back in the city colours.

Liked the look of Dean Cracknell and Elliott Godfrey.

Godfrey played 4 mins for Watford apparently.

Thought we looked good, the shots team was full of ex-league players but, in the main, trialists as well. They won't be getting contracts on that performance

Godfrey did indeed take the eye in the second half, along with the Moroccan/Tunisian types (though they did showboat a bit). Thought Perks and Kavanagh also did well - defo worth keeping hold of for the future. Friday night will be a good test for t'lads against the Tesco carrier bags.

Elliott Godfrey came through the Watford academy, and became one of their Reserves' main strikers.

 

Due to budget cuts he and many others in the Watford Ressies were released, depsite Elliott scoring a hattrick during his final match for he Hornets.

 

He did well for Hampton & Richmond Borough last season, taking them into two cup finals, and one point (or was it goal difference?) away from the Ryman Premier playoffs.

 

He's also represented Canada internationally at the youth level.
