Good work out for the lads... First half played a strong XI (8 1st teamers, 3 triallists) and did well. Nathan Looked sharp up front, Leon and Macca also looked good. Macca scored the opening goal with a towering header from a Hunter free kick. Barnet equallised following a corner that we probably should have dealt better with.

 

half time made a load of changes, with more triallists coming on. Hockers played all the second half, but didn't get much service. 2 goals in the last ten secured the win for the visitors in the encroaching gloom...

Barnet played pretty much their first XI, including ex Blue Richard Graham.

It was the same Patterson, Marlon. Dormer was there, training, but not playing yet, after his op. Don't know about Cuz.

313 people there last night according to the Barnet website who also have a bit of a match report. Quite entertaining for a pre-season friendly, for us I thought the left back (Francis - sorry left the name out initially!)did well, and some of the other trialists did themselves no harm against a decent opposition. The game tailed off towards the end, but good to see Danny back playing again.

Enjoyed the game, thought in the first half we did particularly well with Macca absolute class putting Grazioli in his pocket and Nathan, Leon and Richard Thomas all doing well. Of the triallists I thought the 5 ("Dobbo") looked the most likely. I thought the young left back panicked a bit when in possession.

 

In the second half Barnet were stronger and I was quite impressed with the way they were able to spread the play. John Simmons did well and it was great to see Hockers back out there although the front two didnt get much in the way of service second half.

 

Cuz was at the game so clearly has a knock. Job done overall and onwards to the next game.

Dorms, Cuz and "hopalong" Price were all at the game, as were under 18s Rob Swaine and Tom Poole who didn't play. I understand Dorms may be playing on Wednesday (against Cambridge United), not sure abour Cuz.

I think Dobson and Francis are both products of the Spurs youth system. Patterson is the same bloke who played a handful of games for us at the start of last season. Don't know anything about Smith (except he had a bit of a mare against Richard Graham)or Slade sorry and Stirling made a few sub appearances for us at the back end of last season.
