Im suprized by you footballfan. For someone attending Grammar School, I expected someone with some intelligence, not someone causing trouble. Thank God I went to Dane Court.

Anyone with an ounce of sense would know there have been a range of problems which have meant building the stadium has been difficult at best. Admittedly the Council havent made things much easier though. Im reckoning the plans look good enough to go through, albeit with a number of conditions which are perfectly reasonable on an application of this scale.

Bear in mind that for this season at least the first team in Thanet is Margate FC not Ramsgate FC. If you ned proof of that look at the tables, which team is one division above the other....

I checked out the CBB's web forum (as I often do!) and funnily enough, when I tried to use words like the above, it was censored!!

Also having trouble decoding the second last word from the above - "pi#s off" - is it pins, pits, pies, pigs, or pips?

For those that can't manage to look in on the ground, todays activities were seen as follows:

11 guys working their socks off on the pitch side where the new stands are going to be.Also two architects overseeing things.

Concrete bases nearly done ready for such stands. Holes being dug NOW ready for floodlights.

Pitch marked out round perimeter(touch lines and goal lines only at the moment).

All changing rooms(portacabins) now in place(they include showers etc).

The place is looking more and more like a football ground now.

Grass is holding up well and is looking really fine now.

Still much to do in a short while but its all seems to be coming together nicely.

Electricians coming tomorrow. Ditches round the pitch are ready for cables.

Your advice was invaluable Gary. Mind you the recent rain helped things no-end, plus the fact that we have a first clas groundsman who seems to spend 24 x 7 at the ground looking after it. Or so it seems. A dedicated groundsman if ever I saw one. Good on ya Ray Baker!

I agree there cookie. Many thanks to Ray Baker, whos been fighting to keep the pitch as it should be. Anyone whos been to the ground, whether it be a meeting of MISA or just to see how the ground is going will have seen him there tiring away. His work is much appreciated.

I remember seeing the yelowing pitch of HDP and thinking how bad it is, but hes been able to save it and bring it to standard.
