FA Cup Draw

I think the days of losing to the likes of "Brimsdown" and co, are over, don't you.

Last time we played them, Wingate didn't have any players above 5'6" (or so it seemed). All their players have to be Jewish, so maybe that explains the height problem.

It gets a lot better than that: I think the following two rounds are about £20,000, then the competition proper goes up to £40,000+. That's based on last years figures, but I see no reason for it to change. Therefore I think a win against Wingate is essential; however, they are probably thinking the same.

A few more rounds in the cup and we could probably afford to have free Breezers in the bar, which will doubtless please student scroungers like HelenC!

Wingate fan here.

Just for the record, all our players don't have to be Jewish. the motto of the club is to mix Jewish and non-J players together in competitive sport.

however you are correct in remembering that we have had a height problem in recent years.

I'd like to say that in the FA Cup anything can happen. We have also had freak defeats to the likes of Brimsdown and Brook House. We have also overturned Ryman giants such as Braintree and Bishops Stortford in recent years. No match is a forgone conclusion, even though SAC are clear favourites.

Im trying to be friendly and put a valid point across but the word petty springs to mind.

they are both in the Prem Lge arent they? And considering we were in Div 2 or 3 at the time(cant remember which because we yo-yo'd a bit), they were huge clubs.

The difference then was a lot greater than the 1 division difference between WF and SAC now
