Shirt Sponsorship

What with Coldseal or the company that runs coldeal going out of business do we know if we have got a new shirt sponsor for this season? I seem to remember Gary put a lot of work into getting that sponsorship deal signed up, cos was going to put over an idea I have seen other teams do, not necessarily football teams but i think local rugby and Ice Hockey teams have done it before. That is to sell raffle tickets at a set amount, say £200 and then one ticket is drawn out and they are the Clubs shirt sponsors for the season, the rest benefit from having an advert in the programme or small advertising board at the ground etc.

Problem is you'd need to sell approximately 60 tickets to get in the sort of money we'd want. Even if you were lucky enough to get one in five takers (and I suspect you'd get nothing like that ratio) that's still 300 companies that would have to be approached. By who? Reasonable idea but without the infrastructure to back it up it's difficult to see how it could be achieved.
