Personally i don't want to see any club - not Thames, not even Staines, go down the drain.

Is there anything the supporters trust could do to support Thame from going to the wall?

Yes, I agree, that was rather harsh. I know several people connected to TUFC and I'm very sad for them that their club has gone down the toilet like this. Obviously as a supporter of another nomadic club I can sympathise with their plight and hope that something can be sorted to ensure the club can keep going in some form or another. This extends to the 'Thame Fan' who started this thread in a very reasonable manner.

 

However, I have little sympathy for the anonymous poster who was terribly smug about the fact his club has a ground, or the slightly less anonymous poster who deliberately tried to stir up concern that we might be next on the Customs and Excise hitlist. Clearly the first guy didn't like the fact that I had good information about what had happened at his club and so predictably went for the easy target, mentioning the ground, like Devonshire, old Whyteleafe supporters and so many others have done over the last 7 seasons. To this supporter I guess the only thing to say is what goes around comes around.
