gazza im enjoying that. surely most of the squad should be given a chance?? however there are obvious weaker links - mostly in defense.

rudi hall, russell penn, chopper would be staying in my opinion.

Definatly BN1, those 3 could definatly play higher than SL Premier.

Defence well a consistant back four would be nice, Gant wont have any probs if he stays fit, Campbell good prospect, he had a brilliant season last term.
Midfield, Matty Negus as obvious as Rudi & Russ but after that BN1 we are talking squad players & the dole queue!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

common knowledge around Town is that all the defensive are staying, plus others.

i disagree with you though Gaz, i mean theres only 2 or 3 that should go from the main line up.

Go on then Junior, name them & I will tell you if I agree! lol!

I'd add both Lee Smith & Dean Nyman to the retained list, both able to play at a higher level, plus David Allan & Steve Baldwin of course.

but ARKY will nyman or lee smith score you 20-30 goals next year? i dont think they will. i wouldnt want them to leave, but as a front pair at that level cant see it working.

definitely need a centre half to boss it at the back. your midfield is definitely the teams strong point. at burnham we had a good midfield that bossed most games but when they came up against your good selves they were embarrassed. then add a striker to get u the goals i.e. the tap ins, a poacher. hey presto. could be in the playoffs.

Have no problems with those two getting goals for us at a higher level. Dean will certainly score alot more goals if played as a striker rather than out on the right wing, certainly 15-20 a season. Smithy is a quality forward who'll score plenty himself as well as assisting his partner. Would be nice to sign a third forward to help though take the weight off Dean & Lee.

Forgot about DG, he's excellent on the wing which I believe is his proper position, certainly would like to have him back.

I'd like to see a fit Billy Cove up front. Partner him with Smithy and you have a good combination. Things took a downturn for Billy when Clarke came back.
You ALL know i would walk back <img src="/forum/images/graemlins/bawling.gif" alt="" />

Billy we would carry you back here if it meant seeing you up front in a Town shirt!

Thought "Dean Greene goal machine" couldnt do the travelling involved in SL due to his work commitments, great news if he stays, like Billy Cove clearly noticeable he is a a thought ahead on the park.

Agree with Arky, Smith & Nyman should stay both 110% players, never let you down, but 42 league games & cup games?? we need an alternative as well.

Balders has ETFC running through him, one of if not the most admired Town players in our group behind the goal, but how long can we go on with a right footed left back??? he needs to be on the right side of defence.

Graham Butler???? never did understand that decision not to play him.

wouldnt hurt to ask Billy

Last time i saw Graeme Butler was after the end of the season and he didnt know what he was doing, cus travelling and work would be hard.

Dean Greene was at training thursday (so i'm told) so looks like he's staying.

so was, Steve, Matty, Paul, Bradley, Rudi, Adam and David.

Billy

I am speaking as a supporter with my own opinion. Fellow supporters share some of my opinions. I cannot talk for the management as I am not part of that set up.

You could always walk that walk and see what happens.

Regards to the family.
