Whatapalava this morning with all this voting etc for the Olympics 2012 bid. After eliminations London & Paris are left to fight the battle. Can we do it,do we care. Anyway we are currently running with the odds of 2/1 and Paris are put in as favourites (bet365) at 4/11. Can the underdogs win the final countdown. Result given out "live" at 12-45 this lunchtime. Can we beat the odds or will we end up as also rans once again.

This is an superb opportunity to write to TDC pointing out the advantages of promoting sport not only in Thanet but across the country as a whole. The Planning Committee can make a great start by approving the commercial aspects of the HDP development scheme later this month.

 

Right now there are, no doubt, many youngsters in the Margate area wishing they could make an impact in 2012. What chance do they have with the poor facilities in the area. Now is the time for action. Suggest we all drop a note to Ezekiel, Gale, Ladyman and others reminding them of their moral and LOndon 2012 responsibilities. Get writing NOW. This is NOT "off Topic"

Similar to JJ-this must be a positive for the commercial scheme for MFC.

 

TDC must want a slice of the action and MFC could provide facilities for training for football/hockey etc.

 

If i was Gary Lever, i'd be working with TDC imediately to promote MFC and Thanet and writing to every countries olympic association promoting Thanet and the new facuilities to be available at MFC.

Hopefully that way ensuring MFC get the planning consent for the full development.

 

If after the olympic success, TDC turn down this development, it would be an outrage
