Just found out that one of my favorite bands of all time are releasing a anthology today. The Boo Radleys

 

 

Good time to upgrade some of that vinyl onto CD. To many this band were just "Wake Up Boo", which is a fantastic summer song but I still think Lazarus is one of the best records ever. Even later stuff like "From The Bench At Belvidere" was great and they finished their career quite heavy with stuff like "What's in the box" and "Free Huey"

 

I think I would have them on a list of bands I've never seen live that have split up.

There's been an album out for years called "Learning To Walk" which has their first three EPs on it.

 

Boo Up!, Every Heaven and one other.

 

This sounds like pretty much the same thing, really.

I noticed that this was coming out- I was never a massive fan but What's In The Box and Wishing I Was Skinny were great tunes. It's on my list.

I saw them at Reading in 1995, and wasn't overly impressed, to be honest.

An over-bearing brass section, if I recall.
