Mariah Carey reminded me of a sausage (did her bum look big in that?). As for Who and Floyd, oh dear, have we really not produced any band of note in the last twenty years?

This weeks album chart makes interesting reading:

Keane up from 11 to 5

Mariah Carey up from 10 to 8

Razorlight up from 28 to 9

Killers up from 22 to 11

Joss Stone up from 39 to 16

REM up from 33 to 18

Pink Floyed Echoes straight in at 19

Scissor Sisters up from 45 to 25

Joss Stone (again) up from 49 to 37

Pink Floyd Dark side of the moon in at 41

Robbie Williams Greatest Hits in at 44

Snoop Dog up from 71 to 45

U2's Joshua Tree and Both best of's also in the lower reaches of Top 75

Pink Floyd wish you were here in at 65

Velvet Revolver in at 67

Eurythmics in at 68

Pink Floyd The Wall in at 74

Elton Johns Greatest Hits in at 75

All the Coldplay albums went down though <img src="/forum/images/graemlins/grin.gif" alt="" />

Even the singles chart got involved with Kaiser Cheifs up from 39 to 29, Razorlight climbing a whopping 31 places to number 30 and re-entries for Stereophonics, Kilers, U2 and Keane.

I do hope all these artists stick to their promise of giving the increased sales cash to Live8
