FORMER Margate and Dover defender Lee Shearer has become Welling manager Adrian Pennock's latest signing.

 

Shearer, who will put pen to paper on a one-year deal over the weekend, worked with Pennock at Gravesend & Northfleet.

 

The 27-year-old is awaiting international clearance from the Dutch FA after joining a club in Holland following his departure from Fleet last season.

 

He is seen as a direct replacement from James Smith, who is due to join Liam Daish at Gravesend.

 

Seems to be alot of ex margate players going wellings way!

Lets hope we get them in the Kent senior cup and give them a footballing lesson.

I think you will find that Welling actually have more Gravesend players than Margate in there current squad.
