Very good young player. Did work experience at his school when he was there and played with him a few years ago at Southend Manor. Could tell even then he was gonna be very good and do well for himself. Very down to earth lad as well and easy to talk to still when i see him out and about in Southend.

It would be nice if, unlike some of our previous signings, Smith is given a chance to show what he can do before we all start moaning about him.

The will he/won't he sign saga seems to have dragged on for a long time lets hope he solves some of the defensive problems we had last season.

Hopefully we can find three or four more quality full-time players to strengthen the side and to make the training sessions worthwile.

I believe Jukebox was already contracted for next season but does anyone know whether he will be on a full-time basis?

Afaik, Liam is still discussing the possibility of full time for both Jay and Jukebox.
