I predict a draw. I’m sure we won’t beat your boys who will be entering the new league on a high.

I would like to be up there for the game but I’ll be making use of my season ticket at Brimsdown Road whenever City are not down here.

The fixture list has been really good for me. York City's southern fixtures evenly spread throughout the season. I’m hoping the YCFC games down here don't clash with too many ETFC home games. I guess you’re in the same boat- I should have waited to buy the season ticket after the Southern League fixtures have been announced. It is afterall, my duty as a Yorkshireman to be careful with money!

Yesterday City signed Greg Heald. Was he any good for the E’s?

May the best team win in Southport!

That's exactly what we 'York City' got last season. Nearly all our southern games were before the end of January. It's much better when there's an even spread through the season.

I'll be up for sharing the drive up to Bootham Crescent (I refuse to refer to it by the chocolate bar name!). I shouldn't complain - at least we've still got our home!

Going by car is the only way to do an evening game in York anyway as the last train leaves well before final whistle.

I'll catch up with you at Brimmo one day so we can plan it nearer the time if there's not a crunch game down here.

Heald was a very good central defender.Had a good disciplinary record at EFC, but hardly scored a goal.Boths those things seem to have changed during his League career.

If I remember rightly, Greg's only goal for Enfield apart from in penatly shoot-outs was in a friendly against Boreham Wood which wasn't classified as a first team game because it was on the same night as an Isthmian League rep match and there were Enfield first teamers in the Isthmian squad. He did score for Spurs though!
