>>>>Know it all has said >>>Just asking, what golden boot are you saying Asa won im sure you have your facts wrong,

I do not know if I have my facts right or wrong, but this is what I have copied from the Eton Manor web site (from September 04) -

"Eton Manor FC Striker Asa Pamplin has accepted an offer to join Enfield Town. Pamplin joined the Manor last Season from Ilford FC.

Last season saw Pamplin take on the role of Assistant Manager with the Manor as well as playing a key role up front for the Braves. Pamplin won golden boot last season plus the Goal of the season award and proved to be a well respected member of the team. Emfc news spoke with Pamplin yesterday whilst on holiday Pamplin said " It was a real shock to be approached by Enfield Town, I want to play at the highest level possible and I believe this is a good move for me personally. I have great feelings for the Manor and it was a hard decision to walk away from all the friends I have made at Eton Manor FootBall Club. I have spoken to the Manager and he left the final decision to me. The paperwork has been faxed to my hotel and I am now an Enfield Town player. Everyone at the Manor has been really supportive and I'd like to thank those people for their understanding. I will always have a deep love for The Manor and hope one day to return to the Club in a coaching/training role"

Perhaps someone from Eton Manor can illucidate.

Bradley Kite & Darren Brewer both played for Bowers & Pitsea last season and not Burnham Ramblers as suggested,Lee Sontag,Billy Holland,Jordan Bostock and Paul Shaves all played for the Essex County F.A Senior Rep Team last season and will be very good additions for afc hornchurch's campaign this season.

Asa won the club's golden boot award and not the ESL leading scorer, Scott Ballard was released by the club before the season started, and Sam Williams played a few games for the club before returning to the Urchins, but was a very welcome addition in his short stay with us. Don't get carried away with Asa's golden boot award, we had a good season but he never got into double figures, despite this he has a number of other attributes that will stand the club in good stead.

Dagger04 i believe Mr Collier detials are as follows..

Michael Collier (Aveley) - Michael Collier – Goalkeeper - Debut for Hornchurch at 16 (he was at the time the youngest keeper to play for the urchins) Previously with Bishop’s Stortfort (two spells), Saffron Waldon, Enfield. Michael last played for Hornchurch in 2003/04, when he played twice, at Northwood and at home to Dagenham & Redbridge, and was substitute on 31 occasions. He joined Aveley from Enfield, making his debut against Uxbridge.

I also believe Danny Cowley played for Purfleet although not with his brother.

Thanks for the info on Michael Collier - do you know which season he made his debut as a 16 year olf.

Re-Danny Cowley, yes, he was a Purfleet, but not with Nicky. Their father Steve Cowley gave me the details on both of them - they did play together at Harlow, Boreham Wood, and Romford. Danny's main difficulty, being a teacher, was that he could not easily get to games which involved an early midweek start.
