Agreed, RD. On several occasions he was my man of the match and did put in some blockbusting performances. On the debit side was that he needed a pacy centre half to cover him, something we were in short supply of last year. It is for this reason we probably were never able to get the very best out of Buncey, but should thank him for the effort and committment he did put in during his short stay.

Thats the bloke.

As stated above his weakness is his lack of pace but he is good in the air and as he won't back out of a challenge. If you partner him with someone who can cover his speed problem he should do okay.

Since we have let you have Buncie I don't suppose you would consider sending Boylan our way in exchange.

LOL - I was waiting for the Lee Boylan comment!

Anyway he ain't signing for G&N because the rumour is he's already signed for Daggers, 'ricay, Southend, Grays etc. etc.

It was a great header by Bunce at Stonebridge Road.

Anyone know what his discipline record is like?

I'd imagine that if he's not afraid to pull out of a tackle, and with the standard of refereeing, he must have got booked quite often.

His record was actually very good. Well hard, but fair. He comes across as VERY experienced at conference level, and knows what refs do and do not like.

Despite being with us for only a short time, he did give 110% every time he played.

Despite his lack of pace, his positional play invariably made up for that and the timing of his tackles was very good for a guy of his size. As said, he won nearly everything in the air with his "bulldozing" style.

If you can get him fit, he will do well for you.

He scored an unstoppable own goal at Northwich, all of 30 seconds after we took the lead! Cracking header!! Apart from that, very assured, very experienced and as mentioned, a wicked head. Once saw him nut a ball clear from our penalty area and the opposing keeper caught the ball after it bounced just once.

Cheers Guys,

think he will suit our little part time club.

I personally think we were a bit naieve last year and tended to play three at the back or use a combination of wing backs - but this left us exposed. Hopefully we have learnt and will go four at the back like most other conference clubs.

He may add that bit of steel to our back four - hopefully.

Now, if he had hit the cross bar I would have been impressed
