I could hide behind the facts that other people have spoken to Roy either over the phone or in person and he would tell me exactly the same as he told them and he would probably get very pissed off if everybody decided to phone him.

I haven't phoned Roy probably for the same reasons that the vast majority of people haven't.

The reasons are two-fold:

Firstly, I have probably been under the mis-conception that someone at the head of the Trust would be in regular contact with Roy and by making, as you so nicely put it, these inane posts, I would gleen some information whether good or bad.

Secondly, I initially didn't think Roy would welcome people badgering him for information and when it became a common suggestion I took the all too easy option to 'leave it to someone else'.

While were on the subject of avoiding the question and being found out, I notice that you haven't exactly been forthcoming with a responce on the fact that was the statement you made
a 'throw away comment made without any real thought'.

that's all well and good, but you're still not getting it. If anyone on the Trust Board or Roy has any news it will be given to posters on here like Chris Sliski and made available. The fact that nothing bar a few friendlies suggests that THERE IS NO NEWS SINCE YOU LAST ASKED FOR IT A FEW DAYS AGO. In fact, just to make a point I'll repeat it a few times to make sure you understand...

Quite the opposite, I don't think your getting it.

 

With the word mis-conception put into the sentence should indicate to you that my original thinking that you had to ask the question to receive any information was obviously wrong.

you've asked the question over a dozen times and the answer remains the same:

 

when there is anything to note, it will be posted which is the same situation as it was at the end of last season. Your constant bitching and crying (which makes you seem like the most important supporter we have) over a lack of communication is more laughable than anything. to re-iterate - the situation hasn't changed since the end of last season. There is no news. None. Nadda. When the board of the club are ready to make a statement it will be made, until then be patient.

But I still bet that whenever there is anything to report, it will be there before it appears on the Forum or the website, even though I suspect that we all say things to the press that we wish we had not said and perhaps deny afterwards! It just seemed like a good idea at the time. We have enough examples of that, Councillor Stokes etc.

Do you believe what Eddie said that he was getting to the end of his tether to be true - it sounded it to me, and we heard it in the Observer first. We just have to be selective - just because it is in the paper does not mean it is true, but it does not mean it is lies either!
