Hi Guys,

 

Now I know a lot of you don't like me and to be quite honest I'm not really that fussed. What I am fussed about is the work that needs doing to the ground while some people just seem to sit around posting under different user names.

 

Get your selves down to the club where you can do something useful, not sitting on here moaning about the political correctness on this forum, come down and help out while doing something useful.

 

I wonder how some of you that criticise the players under the anonimity of this message board would feel if the players were to question some of you about the loyalty of your support as fans.

 

If you want to be fans that leave in April not to return until August thats that up to you but the club will never move forward like that. We need people DOING THINGS, not just listing a bunch of stuff you would like to see.

 

We have 3 weekends left before the football starts and we haven't even started painting the chnaging rooms yet. The wall that is the back of the main stand has to be painted. It must be ten feet high. That on its own will take one weekend, plus some fans will want to see the team down at Folkstone on the sixteenth so we have three working days to finish off a whole load of stuff (excluding the wall I have just mentiond of course).

 

The next fixture we play at home will be against League One side Colchester United. A professional outfit coming down to Stonebridge Road, they'll be aware that we ourselves are a newly turned professional club and will be looking to see how were doing. Do we want them to see a bunch of walls that haven't been painted since we were a Rymnas Club or do we want them to see a well run professional looking Conference Club, proud of its supporters?

 

We have people turning up that will be turning up anyway, these people will always turn up to help out and do the stuff that needs to be done, its the extra ten fans that adds the little bit of polish to the doors and walls that can make all the difference.

 

The Legend aka Morris has lots of stuff to be done so it won't only be painting, we could have people cleaning stuff as well. Okay so it's not the most attractive job in the world but it needs to be done.

 

So instead of people standing on the terraces shouting the lads on we need people standing terraces painting.

 

Your club needs you!

I'd like to help, Harry. It's just I'm diabetic and my blood-sugar level goes low sometimes which means I have to eat and thought that might get annoying for others as it could be during something quite important.

 

I'd like to come though. I just don't want to be a pain in the [****!!****].

I just want to point out to people that I'm not questioning you as fans of the club, not when many of you have been going since before I was born (bet that makes you feel old) I'm just saying anyone that can offer assitance however small will be largely appreciated.

Spare of thought for all of those shift-working family people before tarring us all with the same brush, eh?

 

Every weekend so far I have either been at work in the morning, finishing nights & sleeping or, like the Saturday just gone, looking after the children whilst Mrs Fanatic was working.

Daz sorry, I'm not questioning anybodies loyalty. I'm just trying to get people down to help out on what needs to be done. Any help you can offer would be appreciated but it doesn't make you any less of a fan for not helping.

a) I do not dislike you, as I do not know you, or even who you are !

 

B) I admire, & thank you, for the work that you are doing for the club during the close season ( was that you in the photo in the Reporter/Express ? )

 

c) Please do not tar all of us with the same brush ( no pun intended !). I do not moan about, or slag off, players, whether it be under various names on ths forum ( I always been Hirsty, and therefore do not have various names !), or at a match !

 

d) as per a) above, I appreciate your work on the ground, but maybe some of us do "our bit" in other ways. So don't have a go at people that you know nothing about please !

Again Hirsty, I'm not having a go at anyone in perticular, just trying to get people down to the ground to help out.

 

I am aware that many people that post on or read this message board do a whole lot of work that goes unrecognised. Take Peter Norton the groundsman for instance, works tirelessly like a Trojan horse on the bad knee of his, and would be doing wrong if he took time off work, but knows the club couldn't afford to pay both his sick leave and another persons pay to get the pitch done. Puts himself on the front line though, and doesn't get his picture paper.

 

Why do people think I'm having a go? I'm not, all I'm trying to do is get people down to the ground to help out. If they can help great if they can't, well never mind.

 

We have stuff to be done. The stuff that we need to be done, will be done. But to push ourselves that little bit further we need more helpers. Otherwise were still going to be Graveyard and Busfleet!

Harry u seem to be very paranoid about Grandchild 49er? he is an 11 yrs old kid who was club mascot last season against Histon in the FA Trophy n last season he went to all the home games n the away game against Bishop.

 

For what ever reason you got against him u seriously need to sort it he is just a kid being a kid. He is not nobody so get over ya paranoid spells n stick to weeding the ground ffs.

Darren20, No would say anything at all if you have to stop and eat, after all GNFC Fleet Mole does it all the time.

 

We need help so please pop down I am sure you help would be much appreciated.

 

Thanks to Harry for trying to rally the troops. Loads of people do loads of things that people are unaware of, and totally agree with Wobbly, we need more people through the gate to really make a difference. But if anyone has a few spare hours this or next weekend, you will be made very welcome.
