Wednesday reminder.

We have all been talking about getting a carnival float this year and the application has now been made and the transport acquired. As you know we have the meeting on wednesday night at the clubhouse when Mitchel Taylor will be in attendance. Now that we have the transport and o.k. to enter it would be nice to see as many of you up the clubhouse on wednesday to firstly meet the sponsor(may be the only time you do meet him as he is a very busy man and has kindly given up his time to attend) and secondly to put your ideas across. It dosent matter how wacky or silly the ideas may seem, we want to hear from you. This is a team effort as it should always be with this club so it is up to you out there who want this to happen to come along and welcome the sponsor and to have an input into the carnival. This will,hopefully get across to the public,in one fell swoop,the fact that we are "coming home". If you are working please try and get the night off as this is a one off meeting with the sponsor and it would be nice for him to see the kind of supporters he is dealing with via his sponsorship. He has put his money where his mouth is and so should we have an input into the carnival float,considering all the support we have been getting for it on here.I shall post a further reminder again a couple of days before as I really do think this meeting will be just as important as those that we attend with KP & co.

There was an interesting feature on five live this morning about a small Spanish team who had attendances of approximately 150. A Brit,an expat living out there decided to bring the club to the attention of the other expats living in the area but were not fully aware of the clubs existence.

The result has been crowds of 3,000.

The carnival float is an excellent idea in helping to raise awareness throughout Margate.

Eyeball paul and his missus,Leah, have designed and printed a "new" leaflet for distribution and we need to get many of these copied. Come along tomorrow night and see this fab leaflet that will lead the way towards promoting this club to the people of Thanet. Havent seen the leaflet yet myself but apparently its a "cracker". Be amongst the first to see it at tomorrow nights meeting. They have put a lot of effort into this and we must all thank them for their extremely hard work.

Many thanks to Peter Wells again too for his b/w ones he knocked up and copied for us two. These are people that are really looking and wanting to get this clubs name across to people before the season starts. Am sure there are many others out there wishing to do their bit so come along tomorrow night PLEASE and give YOUR input. The team is growing and at the end of the day we will ALL have played our part. Cheers.

Talking of leaflets, would it be possible for MISA or someone to produce match posters that we can put in our windows or workplaces? Distributing them to pubs would be an idea.

We hand out ours in MARGATE and the rams hand theirs out in Ramsgate. Hows that for a compromise. LATER we will venture into Ramsgate for their supporters,just like Charlton do when they nick other clubs supporters.But for now we are concentrating on getting the public of MARGATE to come along.

Just a silly idea, but could we do something tying in with the Trafalgar bicentenary, something along the lines of 'Margate expects every fan to do his duty?'.

Its o.k. Tone. My bags I am proud of as it shows character. Like I said anyway I need them to go shopping with anyway. Probably do know the twat but he wont show himself.Unless he gives a name I cant get to him. Pure cowards the lot of them. I would love to see what he/she looks like.
