Many thanks go to all who pitched up to help at the Billericay Fun day. It was a bit slow to start, mainly due to so many other fetes being on yesterday but definately picked up in the afternoon.

 

We took £138 on the tombola, sold some shirts, and £20 on other activities. Promoted the "Injury Time" and made sure that people knew that Billericay Town FC is still a part of the town community.

 

So, to Simon, Andy T, Andy B, Giselle, Leighton, Adam, Steve, Izzy and John, thanks.

AT texted me last night and confirmed that we took a total of £248. Considering the lack of support this event had this year, is pretty good.

Touchy, touchy there....and always looking for the worst in folk. Merely assessed yours at face value.....so then, not a bad take on the day for you/BTFC (if not for Round Table as a whole)?

I thought Steve came across very well and we did have some "other" people want to come in and help out. As they say, every little helps.

 

To be honest, the Round Table really didn't push the event. I think they got the idea that if they do an event, it'll be instantly popular. There were less stalls than last year...

 

I think for next year, we should get involved in a couple of school functions as well other activities next year as an alternative.

Yep, in line with SK's comments, the prime requirements at non-league clubs are volunteers and of course cash - both of which commodities are, sadly, usually in short supply. Still, as you rightly say, every little helps.
