That doesn't really tell us any more though, since that listing is as a direct result of the BBC article linked earlier in the thread, which still hasn't been confirmed by the club. I'm sure that we'll be informed either way in due course - best to just sit tight.

Daish Tap up finally comes to fruition

a Three Thousand Pounds up front fee will be paid by Gravesend with a maximum of another Two Thousand Pounds after appearances. A Ten Percent sell on has also been agreed to by Daish who tapped up Smudger and finally gets his man. All in all a good deal for Gravesend when you consider if he goes for 20k then Wings will receive a mere 2k extra. Pennock will now aggressively pursue

Are we still after Beckwith?

I sincerely hope so, or if not someone like him, as our scout Nigel Gurney is quoted as saying it would be preferable, to cure our lack of pace in defence last season.

I assume we have signed Smith but it would be nice to get official confirmation, we really must push the boat out and get quality signings this season and make an impact in the league, the time for merely consolidating our place in the league has gone, we must aim higher,especially now that (some) players are going full time and

we obviously need to keep improving our attendances, so that means a better league position to stir up the interest.

If true, I'm sure Welling will take this to the FA. If they don't, it'd probably be wise for Wings on the Web to remove yet another factual inaccuracy.
