A mate of mine who I did a massive favour for at the weekend has just phoned me to say that one of the group she is going down with has pulled out and do I want the spare ticket for face value ?They can give me photo id, although I look nothing like the bloke. (he's a long haired hippy surprisingly.)

 

They are heading down this afternoon, so I need to get moving sharpish to go home pack and then meet them at Paddington.

 

Trouble is, I'm meant to be going to Jersey this weekend, so I'll have to miss that and can't get a refund on the flights. Also, I'm pretty worried that I'll get all the way down there and they won't let me in because of the dodgy id.

 

Still, Fk it I'm going to risk it. I don't reckon they will be that thorough on the gates with thousands trying to get in.

If I don't get let in, I can still go to Jersey tomorrow as planned anyway I suppose.

And I think that is we did a massive favour for???

I looked at the line up in the NME and was a bit dissapointed actually, don't get me wrong I'd love to be there as it's more than just the music man but there are only a few bands that I haven't seen that I'd like to.

Got to go and get some kip, been very lucky and managed to get a residents ticket off e-bay for £150 which doesn't need ID (basically Micheal Eavis gives a few thousand tickets to locals for the inconvience of the festival and these are transferrable), nipping home after work, gettng the 1105 to Castle Cray, be there about 1240, got to nip to Shepton Mallett for the ticket, reackon I'll be on site by 4. Only problem is I can't get hold of my mates Neil and Tracey as they have turned their phones off (only took them to hear from me if I was coming but I told them I'm not so they are now in the safe lock ups) but I know I'll see them at Art Brut on Sat afternoon. Meeting gertcha about 5 though, should be good we had a right crack at Reading in 99, shame Zeal can't come!

In a Shepton Mallett internet cafe, just got my ticket. Waiting for the next bus (45 mins, bloody rural), Shame gertcha had to leave but I'm meeting his ex so I'm sure I can have fun and I'm bound to meet my other mates at Art Brut tomorrow. Gertcha you got back pretty quick, are you at home or did you decide to chip into work for a few hours?

Don't fancy my chances of finding a dry patch though <img src="/forum/images/graemlins/frown.gif" alt="" />
