I enjoyed the Polyphonic Spree album. I think I heard the Soldier Girl single first, and loved it. It's got the feel of an EP to it - the songs seem to be over quickly and then there's that long droney bit at the end. That kinda spoils it for me - the second album is smashing though!

 

I'm not that over keen on Tarantula. I love the Black Nite Crash single, but some of the songs like Deep inside my pocket, and that one about the king going up the hill - not keen. I did buy it on the day it came out!!

 

I also thought that Heathen Chemistry was a return to form. I still think it's better than DBTT - which still hasn't grown on me.

 

That's all the ones I have. Mrs Zag has the Charlatans and the Pink Floyd albums. There is a Charalatns song on that album (I think it is "Here comes a soul saver"), which nicks a riff from one of the songs off the Pink Floyd album called "Meddle". Can't remember the name of the PF track - are you familiar with it? I do like that Charlatans albumn though - top stuff!!

Funnily enough, I bought Meddle yesterday (!) but haven't had a chance to hear it yet.

 

However, anyone that has John Lennon's Mind Games album will know that both Just Lookin' and Just When You're Thinkin' Things Over are blatant rip offs of Lennon's Bring On The Lucie!

Meddle is great. It's probably my fav Pink Floyd album. The final track "Echoes" is brilliant!
