Dave Sherwood, conqueror of Thornsy's tip Mello in the first round, is on Court Two at noon today for his second round match.

 

English Greg is third on either Centre Court or Court One this afternoon, so reckon I'll be able to watch that when I get home.

 

He's playing the 11th seed, but Thornsy assures me he'll get through to the quarters, so I'll be having a fifty on Greg!

As much as I'm sure you know what you're talking about Rob, Thornsy is unrivalled when it comes to tennis punditry! After Dutch football, it's probably his most knowledgable sport!!

Yeah, Thornsy said that he was wrong to write off Sherwood on Monday. I think he had looked up the wrong player on the internet or something.

 

Anyway, he's assured me that Sherwood will make it past the number 26 seed today.

 

He again stuck his neck out and said Roger Federer would get into round three. He also said that Hewitt would follow him.

Thornsy's top tip R Mello is not having a great time of it. I reckon Sniffer has put the kiss of death on the man.

 

Knocked out inexplicably by the Brit Sherwood on Monday, (I had to see that to believe it, I just couldn't see Sherwood getting past him.) he is now 2 sets down with his partner in the Men's doubles.

Can you remember what Thornsy's prediction was for Murray? I know he's got it wrong a couple of times so far, but I'm going to keep faith with him.

 

I reckon Murray could do well - this kid's the real deal.
