Charlie Mitten would be the most obvious signing though we will still need to bring in a decent reserve keeper imo. Ian Pullman could be the other ex player to sign, think he could do well at this level if given the opportunity. Still think a decent target man up front and a skilful left sided midfielder to replace Clarke should be the priorities (as long as we can keep hold of the rest of the squad). If and its a big IF the defence has more luck with injuries (oates, Green, Annon, Edwards, Barnett, Graham-Smith, keister as sweeper) think there is enough quality there. Having said all that we will probably see a few more go so that we can accomodate the new "old" faces as it were.

There are always better keepers around but i'd rather have PT than CM.

Rather Trego than Mitten?! Charlie isn't perfect but Peter was responsible for some real howlers last season. In any case, unless he has moved from Weston-super-Mare I can't see him playing for us next season.

No disrespect to older players who have formerly served the club well, but i'd really like to see as many of last years squad retained as possible; and supplemented by players with the energy, skill levels, pace and well directed verbal and physical aggression of Mark Green.

in a similar situation, its good to see that Northwich are managing to keep there squad together, i see Allan signed a new contract today for them. hope they do well next season

I, like michaelmichael, would hope to see as many of the players from last year retained as possible. Certainly they would have been tempered by the experiences of last year, there was plenty of experience there, but also some good new players who will definitely get better.

I do hope we get some team news before the start of the season, and I am very interested in CK's new signings, now that he can sign - will we see a statement of intent on CK's part in the choices he makes?

I would love to see , Greg Oates and Mark Green at the back, Ross Graham Smith ,Bill Edwards (Out of loyalty,both ways). Darren Annon,John Kiester, Che Staddart,and Peter Benevides given a run in his proper position.As for the rest,Its a pity the Gaaaate won't have a reserve side this next season as i would have liked to have seen Nedj Hussien with a good run of games.I would hope that any young trial players with ability would be given a chance in the AFC/GAAAATE under 18's. As for Charlie Mitten and Leon Braithwaite,I hope if CM does appear he has left the cloud of doom air he had behind him.The club needs a positive attitude.I did not see LB or hear much about him last season,so i cannot say yes or no. Anyway,Its all dowm to Ck,we are in his hands. Come on the GAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAATE onwards and upwards to the conference and beyond.

Agree whole hartedly about Che. I wonder about Rocky at this level though. Would he be interested with lower wages? If Leon does come back, how about him and Che up front? With big Darren and Moses as back up? I thought Che did a job job in midfield as well as his versitlity and Darren and Moses availability would be good. I'd also like to see Alex given a chance in central midfield. From what Isaw when he played there rather than at wing-back, he looked like he had something to offer. And if JK foes remain at the back, we could do worse than Alex, Pat G and Peter B in midfield.

Moses and Watson would be quality in this division, Isnt Alexis off to oldham? still thought he was good first game against Bognor and played out of position ever since, whether he stays or goes, good luck to him

Has anyone else seen or heard anything about players moving to other clubs, i keep looking out for margate names but can't find any, could be a good sign

i agree with Che and your comments about Rocky. As for Darren and Moses, as CK said darren has the ability but you cannot get him fit "thats Darren". As for moses maybe he would be good at this leval but for me he spends to much time with his back to goal.

whats wrong with local talent if it comes along with the right attitude.Thats the crucial point.Next season are the gate going to have a paid reserve side or one made up of a mixture of fringe players and up and comers.Is there going to be no hope then for the AFC youngsters who are already proudly telling me that they are playing for Margate. Onwards and Upwards.
