Zeal's Top 100 Albums Of All Time - Tuesday feedback!!

ODelay is still a great little album, there are gems like Ramshackle, Jackass and Hot Wax. Would agree 'Where it's at' is prob the best track on the album. As for Sea Change, just shows how versatile the fella is.

As for Cast, good album, but the cracks were there at the very start, they were never lyrically very strong, that said, it's good guitar album and I'm happy to have it in my collection. I struggled a bit with 13, Coffee & TV really sounds like a Coxon song and could fit on any of his recent albums.

I may have struggled with 13 but not half as much as Six by Mansun, that took some getting used to, on that front I always like going back and listening to the Attack of the Grey Lantern, great little album.

I've got three albums from the second 20 - Jet, EMF and Spiritualized. Spiritualized would deffo be in my top 10 - what a great album, a truly marvelous sound! Mrs Zag has got the two Charlatans album and the Cast one. The onyl Charlatans album I bothered getting was "Up to Our Hips" - I still think that the's the best one.

There was a policy within Blur that Graham Coxon would always give the band first refusal on any of his songs before recording them solo.

Coffee & TV was written and sung by Graham, and it was the only instance (that I'm aware of) that Damon specifically asked for it to be on a Blur record rather than go on a Coxon solo album.

Still a couple of Charlatans albums to come, but Up To Our Hips didn't make the cut! Easy Life was a great track off that, used by Sky Sports for a number of years I think, but I wasn't too keen on the majority of the album. Actually, Patrol was pretty good. And Jesus Hairdo!

A much-overlooked album - actually my favourite by them, as it happens.

Nice to see plenty of Radiohead albums in the list so far (although OK Computer would definitely be at number 1 for me). Also, regarding Beck, I prefer the Sea Change stuff to his usual style.

Jet, though, is dog turd in my view.

Six is still second to Grey Lantern for me, though I like both.

As for Beck, well every album he's done has been completely different, he doesn't have a usual kind of style. I like Guerro as an album, but like most of the stuff he soes it needs time to grow on me a bit. Sea Change is a really rich mellow album but it lacks the edge of ODelay for me.

Yeah that was out around 1997.

Indeed it was 1997. The album was Mother Nature Calls.

That second album of Cast's came out on the same day as Tellin' Stories by the Charlatans and In It For The Money by Supergrass - two albums yet to feature in my Top 100 list!

I remember getting in an hour late on the Monday morning they came out so that I could nip into Classical Rock in Harpenden to buy all three before going in to work!!
