Of last season's players, I reckon Matt Murphy was always one of the most likely to leave. Rumours were going around that he found the travelling from Northampton difficult. We know he reads the forum and I'd just like to say thanks for everything last season and good luck.

According to the Brackley site, they are playing us in a pre-season friendly on August 6th, though it doesn't mention whether it's a home or away match.

I remember Leigh Mason turned down Brackley last season as well, so they must be splashing the cash.

Of the players that have left to date the only one that surprised me was Michael Murphy. Matt had indicated that he was likely to move on and I certainly wish him all the best. He was fantastic for us and got twenty five goals in less than a full season.
