Been playing some tennis over last couple of weekends. I beat the lawyer down at the C.P. courts early yesterday morning and been playing the Libro a fair bit too.

 

If anyone fancies playing after work one night this week, let me know as it's quality exercise! I've dropped about 9lb just over the last couple of weeks by playing tennis and not boozing!!

 

I'm not very good at all, and I serve like a gay, but I finish work at 5pm, so can get down there by about quarter-past should anyone wish to knock a few balls around!!

How much is it an hour down there mate, and why aren't you using to courts down the club ?

The courts at the club are being refurbished at the minute, and although our membership gives us free access to the courts at either Harpenden or Radlett also, I prefer playing on the outdoor courts at Clarence Park really.

 

The indoor courts at the club will be useful come the Fall, though.

 

It's £4.20 per hour.

Also, I guess you were probably expecting that the board's major tennis fan might take you up on the offer, and there is no way he would be able to play down the club.

Talking of the club, I was extremely impressed that they managed to keep their nuclear fallout shelter facilities quiet from the publishers of that Protect & Survive leaflet.

 

In all honesty though, you could live underground in the vast wings of the St Albans Conservative Club and not miss the outside world at all. They simply have everything down there that you could ever need.

I'm afraid you can't mate. I'm not a fan of playing to be honest.

 

I used to enjoy a game of badminton until I got humiliated by Fennell.

 

Since then I've decided to stay away from all raquet sports.

 

Having said that, I'd be up for a game or two of squash down the club.

Count me in for next wednesday(prison permitting)/thursday mate, you'll be pleased to know that I'm just as bad at tennis as football which is bizarre when you consider I'm an expert on both <img src="/forum/images/graemlins/wink.gif" alt="" />
