Yeah, I think my Dad's got tickets for the Thursday at Trent Bridge.

 

I've not been to Trent Bridge. I'm well up for it.

 

How many test grounds have we got now?

 

I've been to the Oval, Lords, Old Trafford and Edgbaston. Trent Bridge coming up in the summer.

 

Headingley is the only other test ground I can think of. Or is Durham one now too??

Yeah, Durham is one now.

 

Headingly is a good one to visit. I saw the Aussies there last time they were here, and also saw South Africa back in 98.

Think thats it, Canterbury used to be used I think. Iv only been to Lords and the Oval, been on the pitches of both as well which is good. Whats the best cricketing spectacle you've seen live?

Last year's second day of the Oval Test against West Indies.

 

About 17 wickets fell and around 500 runs scored! We were brilliant!!

I was there at the Oval in 1997 when we bowled out the Aussies for 107 to win the last match of the series.

 

I was also in Sydney in 2003 when we beat them in the last match of that series.

 

I know we'd already lost the series but it's still good to beat those smug bastards, and their fans were bad losers.

Mine was proberly at the Oval in 2001, saw oth the Wuagh brothers put on a hundred partnership, doubt il ever see two brothers do that in test cricket again.

Canterbury has never had a test match. It may have had some one-dayers though.

The only other test venue that's been used in this country is, believe it or not, Bramall Lane which had (I think) one test in the early 1900s.

Best cricket match I've seen live was the final England v India match of 1979 which I saw in its entirety. India were set 438 to win and finished on 429-8.

I think Gavaskar's 221 is still the best innings I've ever seen.
