The Moore & Co Solicitors North West Counties League have announced that at their Annual General Meeting held on Saturday the new team 'FC United of Manchester' have been successful in their application to join the Second Division of the league, subject to acceptance of the criteria by the management committee.

 

This has not affected any promotion or relegation issues from Step 7 leagues within the National League System.

 

Football Club United of Manchester, to give them their full title, are hoping to groundshare with Nationwide North side Droylsden, although that is subject to council approval.

As a gloryhunting Man Utd fan as a kid i fully back this breakaway club. Clearly they'll never be as big as Man Utd (unless Glazer really [****!!****] them up but he is a business man so i doubt it). Puts money into non-league and makes more people aware of non-league football.
