Hot and bothered

Have just returned from working at the ground today. phew it was hot!!

Thanks to James, Ian, Paul, Ray and Steve. Also huge thanks to Alex he from Gravesend Reporter fame, who turned up and worked with us all day today, having travelled from North London.

 

Also thanks to Chris and Graham for sterling work in the very very hot club shop.

 

 

We intend to do some more tomorrow, and we really need loads more people, even if you can only work for a couple of hours, there is still plenty to do.

 

Ground clearing painting etc etc, .

Well done to everyone that came down. I was there from about 11:30 to about three I think but there were people that were even there before me. Of you I live in awe. If I had been asked to run something like that I could never have imagined how we would have cleared what we did.

 

You can now enter the ground and walk right round the back of the stand opposite the main stand because of all bush's and stuff that we cleared away.

 

If the owner of the missing crutch would like to step forward then there is something in the shop waiting for you.

Pesky kids want to go to Margate, so that's where we ended up.
Lovely day, plenty of sunshine, saw most of the airshow from Margate beach - red arrows, etc..., got sunburnt - oops.

Shame the rest of Margate is still a craphole.
Dreamland still open with new rides but rubbish.
Amazing too how the accents you here on the beach are so different from years ago - all I kept hearing were what sounded like Eastern European voices.

Even my 80 pa-in-law enjoyed the view. He hasn't smiled like that for years!
