My own personal definition, would be someone who happens to be in a small place where some unheard of indie band are playing. The scarfer will then make a note of their name and bang on about seeing them (normally on a non-league message board, a 90's indie band board and a fairly new indie band board) and make it his mission to procure various tracks of this unknown band.

There is actually no requirement to actually see the band perform, as long as you were in the same location that is good enough to make the list.


How does that sound ? Like I say, that is just my definition.

Well, yesterday I had the cricket on all drive home. Thornsy had a moan about listening to that crap, so I offered him the choice of getting a train home and he soon shut up.

 

On the way there was a bit of Art Brut, and a fair few Manchester bands, Stone roses, Inspirals, James, Oasis etc.

 

(I told him not to bring his mp3, so no plantpot was heard spinning.)
