You should have said "wo wohnen Sie?" when asking where I live and not "wo leben Sie?". "leben" means live (as in exist) not live (as in reside). No German would make that mistake. You ain't a Kraut!

Just in case anybody is remotely interested the expression Heidi was asked to finish to prove she is of Germanic extraction was "Everything good has an end only ...". The answer being "only the sausage has two!" That's the nearest you'll get to a German joke. Her reluctance to respond to an expression known by every German schoolboy/girl speaks for itself. Good fun though, or should that be "viel Spass"?
