if you read my post rite i was generalising. arsenal have won more than ipswich over past 15 yrs not just in europe and i said one of the most sucessfule clubs not the most sucessful.

All great teams during their spell at the top demonstrate their greatness against the best in Europe

The very best come away with silverware and do it more than once, another way of testing them against the best in Europe is to allocate points per game and demonstrate by their average the value of the team against the best teams

Ipswich gained a better points per game than the gooners? all the other top teams when having their spell at the top won silverware more than once??

There never was an adequate punishment of appropriate fine and or points deduction for the keown led assualt or the pizza throwing episode and the David Dein ability to creep around the FA offices getting away with murder continues

The AR-Sol case has never been fully investigated although the dead certainty 12-15 months before the end of his contract that Dein had (back door) approached and done the deal was common knowledge

You do have a top man coach, you have won a few trophy!s in your spell at the top,but you have two outstanding issues

1. Your attitudes will always ensure you are disliked

2. You continue to fail when opposed by the top sides in Europe and for that reason alone will not be rated up there with the best (during their top spells)

I.E. Ntts Forest,Liverpool,Man U,Spurs and the up and achieving Chelsea

yes you are correct we do struggle against the top sides in europe but you lot are still struggling against average teams from the premier and below so instead of slagging THE ARSENAL off why dont you just concentrate on your own teams misfortune ??

The so called keown led assault saw a few of our players banned and fined and a couple of others fined, it was the other lot that received nothing for provoking it and participating in the pushing and shoving so get your facts right.

 

And pabird you still aint said which team finished above your lot in the fair play league.

Keowns Actions in instigating a melee and continuing to play a major part in the ensuing actions would have had him arrested outside any pub in the country

Your side-finished top of the fair play league last season but come on! it will take several such seasons to overcome the most dismal record of thuggery in the premier league

Lets get it right,I am a born and bred North Londoner and therefore support the Spurs, it would have been a far better solution when looking for a new ground if you had done a deal to ground share with Charlton and gone back to your rootes
