George Lay

Recommended Posts

Taken from the Chelmsford City Forum(Peter Foster):

George Lay has signed a full-time deal with Billericay Town for next season. George, who will be 19 on June 27, felt that a move to full time football would provide him with the opportunity he needs to sharpen and improve his game. George remains a Claret through and through, though, so I'm sure we'll see him again in a City shirt. Good luck, George.

is the lad with the shaggy hair in the steve mcmanaman/daren anderton style?

if it is then i have seen him play and he nearly always seemed to get subbed.

Richard Thomas was very good when he played for us but when he was here before we used him as a centre half or maybe he is going to be used in the centre of midfield which im not sure resovles the vacant spot we currently have there.

The meeting/forum which will take place on the 24th has Players in/out as a dicussion point.

I doubt any formal announcement re new players will be made before then.
