hope i've not left anyone off - if so my sincere apologies.

lots of work done by all these wonderful contributors who gave their time and lots of their energy to all the various tasks.

we removed the partition wall between the players weights room and the store room. this is now a good size open area, and, as i have said before, will facilitate the introduction of a players canteen.

lots and lots and lots of painting done, inside and outside, plus copious amounts of wood preserver (the building is a timber structure).

ian parsons kindly obliged with his chainsawing know-how and equipment. a fallen ash tree, amongst other thigns, was dealt with.

steve perryman popped out on saturday, and alex inglethorpe on sunday. both were impressed by the work that had been done. alex stayed some time chatting to us, telling us of plans to augment the squad this coming season and the next. interesting!

the weekend was also a great success socially (i wish i had been able to stay on saturday but had other unescapable commitments sat pm and eve) - great bunch of people having a good time, tho' i gather dr. dave's bbq was not impressive and i''ll be having words with him about this as we don;t want a repeat on july 2nd! those who camped over stayed up very late, and then were woken at 4am byt the start of the dawn chorus, that's if they'd managed to get any sleep - there was a very VERY loud snorer, i gather,

right in the middle of the gaggle of tents pitched! apparently, those unaccustomed to camping discovered how b***dy cold it gets in the early hours.

there were games of football, where many of us displayed levels of

ineptitude that were quite remarkable, me especially. phil priestley scored a hat-trick in the final game - unfortunately two were o.g.s! oops.

and many thanks to barry sansom for providing some tins of beer, which we kept in the swish new cat and fiddle fridge, just the job for a hot summer's day. cheers barry.

And thanks to Clive and Elaine Davis for collcting the pasties, rolls, and cakes.

finally, just to say that in my opinion there has never been a better time to be a city supporter - so many people pulling in the right direction, and the massive amount that has been achieved since we, the supporters, have gotten the club into our own hands, is truly phenomenal. the losses etc of footypitch and italian masters pale into insignificance against all that has been done. my only hope is that more people embrace the concept of a community club, and that more people see it as a two-way thing - you get out of it what you put in. it's our club, lets make sure it's a success.

I'd like everyone to pay particular attention to the last paragraph!

I would just like to say that I pay attention to the whole of your postings Harry, not just the last paragraphs !!

Without you, I would just have thought that Star Wars was some Sci Fi crap of 20 years ago !

I thought that the bottom had fallen out of my world until I read Harry's posts, now the world has fallen out of my bottom !!

Regards,

On the way to where? No wonder you're confused.

Ooooh hang on, flashback to last weekend.....

.....at least I'm honest - I won't be there because I'll be in bed until the afternoon!
