DIY Expert Needed

Anyone fancy coming over on Sunday and putting up three shelves on our living room wall for us?

 

I'm crap at DIY, so anyone who wants to do it will be generously rewarded with beer!!

My friend's Dad is good at DIY - Roy Thorns. He put up some CD racks for his son on one of the two occasions they met up in 2004.

Mmmm. Yes, I reckon that'd look well nice in a short skirt, on a stool, with an electric drill in her hands, just the right side of sweaty!

Managed this myself in the end. Took fking ages.

 

The walls were either crumbling so much that it was impossible to hang any weight off them, or so hard that even a pneumatic fking drill couldn't make its way through.

 

Found a nice spot at the bottom of the stair for them.

 

Painted the room a light green too (I wanted deep purple, but Mrs Z was having none of it), and got rid of loads of the landlady's furniture, so it's just our stuff in there now.

How to the drapes look with the new color on the walls ?

Haven't put up the drapes yet, but we did the base board white.

 

It's looking pretty good, dude. You'll have to come over for a Bud one evening.
