Northwood latest

We are losing 3-2 with only a few minutes left in the Ryman Charity Shield game at Northwood. We had 6 changes from the team that won on Saturday, according to Chas Webster who did a half time report.

Apparently 2-0 down after 16 minutes - 2 errors by Turner.

Booth pulled one back before half time.

Northwood then went 3-1 up and Wilkins has now pulled one back.

There was entertainment aplenty at our home ground tonight - but our tenants, Dartford wont have been happy to lose 6-3 to Chatham !!

Just returned from Northwood. Very poor performance by a patchwork Gravesend side. Northwood thoroughly deserved their victory. Two errors by Jamie Turner in the first half. Goal number three was a striker runing through a wide open defence as we looked for a pretty undeserved equaliser, the pick of the four being a superb strike across the face of the goal. Our reply was a Booth effort, sent through a non-existant offside trap and a Craig Wilkins deflected header.

I wouldn't let Mr Ford know that it was a meaningless affair Alan! The lads on the touchline were quaking at the prospect of an ear-bashing. (Thoroughly deserved as well.)

No names mentioned here, but some people let themselves down tonight when they needed to impress. But I suppose everyone has off-days at the office.

On the plus side it was a pleasant place to visit and the T bar was very nice!
