I dont hate cats but I remember a term when a cat appears to get a little..."interested" in someone. I believe the term was paddy pawing. Its happened a couple of times...its a little wierd.

Sorry to be picky and all UncU, but Taz is no dog... he is a Tasmanian Devil (hence the name !), a marsupial.

The Tasmanian devil (Sarcophilus harrisii) cannot be mistaken for any other marsupial. Its spine-chilling screeches, black colour, and reputed bad-temper, led the early European settlers to call it The Devil. Although only the size of a small dog, it can sound and look incredibly fierce.

... as an 'amateur' expert on cats, I assume that when you refer to 'paddy-pawing', jkmaskell, you mean when cats tense and relax their front paws alternatively, usually purring at the same time.

 

This is a kitten-reflex when content. As kitts, they would stimulate their mothers milk-flow by doing this on their mums tummy !

The picture that Harry J. last posted is of a Scottish Fold kitten.

 

This breed is NOT recognised by the G.C.C.F, as it carries a mutant jean which prevents the ears from developing and becoming erect after birth !
