Lawrence makes first signings for AFC Hornchurch...

Manager Johnny Lawrence has secured the signatures from two new players for the 2005-6 season.

 

Asa Pamplin has signed for AFC Hornhcurch from Enfield Town, where he played an active role in their championship winning season. Prior to joining ETFC, Pamplin was a player/assistant managager at Eton Manor, where he won the Golden Boot for the 2003-4 season.

 

However Asa failed to win it last season, as it was won by the second of the Urchins new signings - Billy Holland. Billy scored 37 goals last season for Waltham Abbey. He also represented Essex FA last season in the annual match against The Army.

'Active role' is perhaps over-egging the pudding slightly. Asa's contribution was mostly limited to late appearances from the subs' bench, although he did make some important contributions. A useful player to have on the fringes of your squad.

The only problem with Asa is that he couldn't score on dope! The boy Holland is a good signing though.
