Some Stats on Danny Slatter

I found this from one of Chelsea's old programmes....

 

"Danny Slatter was an unused Sub in the home game with Manchester City last season (2000-2001), and is now captain of the reserves. Aged 21, he also went to the FA School of Excellence, but then chose to play for Wales Under 21s, the country of his birth.

 

He can play right-sided midfield, wing-back or Central midfield."

 

Chelsea Reserves coach Mick McGiven said of Danny....

 

"Danny Slatters experiance during the first-half in the 2-0 win against Forest shone through. His distribution, his interceptions, tackling and, above all, his finishing was of the highest order.

 

Perhaps the captaincy of the reserve side is having a positve effect on his performances."

As a chelsea nut, but season ticket holder at the fleet, i was lucky to watch Danny at least 3 times for Chelsea reserves, always gave 100%, not afraid to shoot from distance, good eye for goal, if the unthinkable was to happen and we are without macca for the season, then i think Danny might be an able replacement not only as the player but maybe captain as well.
