Number 8 seems quite adamant he's gone, but this is a post from Dave, made yesterday, in the Charlie McDonald thread:

"Last I heard from the club Manny was keen to come back and Liam wanted him to prove his fitness so that we can offer him a contract."

Just have to wait & see, I suppose. Personally, if he's not plagued by injury I rate him: defences hate his pace.

Not taken the bait offered in "The Good Wife" thread I see.

Exactly, he left, and now wants to return to prove his fitness..!!

Though at this moment in time, he has still GONE.!

Quite right Graham, we will have to wait and see...! <img src="/forum/images/graemlins/wink.gif" alt="" />

'GONE' and 'keen to come back' don't quite equate in this case, though, do they? 'Come back' may just be referring to his time out through injury in this case. You may be right about his 'departure', but didn't the original post imply rather more?

He has "gone" insomuch as his contract has expired and he hasn't been offered a new one.

But, as has been widely reported elsewhere, both Manny and Roy have been invited back for pre-season training to try to earn a new contract.

Neither of the players have yet comitted themselves one way or the other although Manny seems to be more enthusiatic than Roy at this stage.

Exactly. So one could say that Surey, amongst others, has 'gone' and 'come back' too.
