'THE AFRICAN SITUATION'

 

a continent blessed with vast mineral resources were living standards are now lower than the days of empire, corruption is rife and aids ravages an entire generation..

lots of western countries donate thatrg amounts of money in aid which is usually spent on mercs, rollers jet planes and russian machine guns.. the divvy up post empire caused a load of border disputes which these machines guns are used to help resolve..

geldof et al like to raise money to help out where they can but are merely scrtching the surface.. the onlt real solution is to remove all the trade restrictions in place to protect rich u.s. and french farmers .. to use military muscle to remove barbaric ruling despots (yup its regime change time) , to get a grip on curruption and get soem serious inward investment but those nasty multinationals to exploit the cheap labour force and add value to raw african produce..

i would imagine tourism could be pretty tasty as well for a lot more of the continent if the place could be made a tad safer..

my suggestion would be to take all of geldofs and bonos money to help the cause ..also all the people who manage to find the time to get up to edinburgh who are on the dole can have that taken of em for say the next 6 months and add that in as well
