Day one of Romford under 16's trials saw 26 lads turn up.

What was amazing was to have players travelling as far as Southend, Wickford, Romford, Dagenham, Hornchurch to be considered for a place in the team.

Everyone enjoyed there day, including the dads that came along, but most important there was loads of encouragement and support from each of the trialist to one and another

Lets see what happens tormorrow with the next batch of trialists

Well Done all

Well I suppose coming from Romford, Dagenham and Hornchurch can be a bit of bind these days. Never mind when we get trolley buses next year, the old man can discard the penny farthing etc. It is Half bloody term for God's sake. People can travel further than their village these days (unless it is Eyam), life goes beyond your front door.

Hello, earth calling Dozy!!!!!!!!!!!!!

i have been coaching most of those boys for years.their manager called it a day because of his

business committments we looked around in our area for senior clubs but gwr decided not to have an u'16s southend manor we were not too impressed and we choose hullbridge.we are getting the players we lost last year when we joined the echo league and although is another burden on top of the gwr job i want help some of those boys to make the step to senior level

Day 2 another good day of training and firm commitment from the trialists.

This time a little harder workout but all did well and kept in there.

Day 3 is planned for twice a week training next wednesday and saturday

Well Done to Reedy, Magic and Robo, making it two very interesting sessions which all the players and dads agree was a great way to break these lads into senior football after enjoying many years at junior level.

Which Robo was very quick to point out, at most clubs each team is seperated with there respect manager and coach, not uS Romford lot, getting stuck in and showing why we are different.

I am proud to be part off as are Reedy, Magic and now Robo
