Hopefully this means Macca switching into central defence, which I reckon is his better position.

Take it we are going to being bringing a full back in then personally didn’t think that him and Pat were that good as a partnership as they were to similar as players albeit with Pat having touch more pace; although both are in my opinion conference quality

 

Shame he was never made captain as he was captain at Stevenage and in my opinion a better leader out on pitch then Dorms who has taken a tad to long to get into the role

 

Speaks volumes for the quality of the players at the club if we can release a player of his ability and experience although I think bar Henty we are lacking in experience at the back and although I fully support the clubs youth policy I fell that experience in each area of the park is vital for leadership, organisation esp at the back and to help bring on the youngsters

 

Was he a contract player as assume he was being ex Stevenage and also take it as one of the senior players and a name player at non league he was on decent money so will his departure see the wage budget freeded up a bit

Phew back from Welsh Wales..its a fckin long way I can tell you...

 

Not a major surprise Trotty has gone, apparently he was told he might not feature as often as he might want next season and he has opted for guaranteed footy..can't fault him for that...Trotty is a top bloke and he'll be missed around the place but Macca and Pat is a better combination and I can't help but feel we'll be playing a few over the top of him when we play Heybridge next season.
