There we go then, panic over! Now, lets open the book on which Slough player gets crocked for the season..... oh [****!!****]! A complete lack of information from the club means we're bollocksed from that point of view as well.

Good job I've got food poisoning to keep me company, otherwise I'd have a very bad feeling about this <img src="/forum/images/graemlins/flame.gif" alt="" />

Even tin pot teams like Windsor can arrange 4 freindlies - including 3 aways and they can also sign up 3 new players.

That takes them to a squad of six then. They released a hell of a lot of players whereas we have (to date) released three.

We have released six players in total. But when you look through the list of players we have released only two of them were playing regularly which were Chuck and Joe Nartey.

The other four, Brahim Eloumani, Hamid Harak, Adam Goldie and Belal Aiteouakrim only played the odd game towards the end of the seaon. Belal would have played a lot more had he got injured, so although six have gone it's only two regulars.

When you think of the four we have signed and the others in the pipeline there is no need to worry about the ones that have been released.

Calm down everybody. For the last two seasons we've been outside the Town Hall not knowing if we had a manager, any players, a chairman or a football club. At present, and until we hear otherwise, it appears we still have a decent playing squad, one of the best young managers in non-league football and a chairman. That's a marked improvement on every close season since I've been following Slough regularly.

What do people want? Would you rather hear that Roy has repeatedly tried to contact Martyn Deaner, cannot get hold of him and is worried as to whether we'll pay the rent? What will you do if you know that? Start raising money? Well don't bloody wait, start raising money now, anyway.

Who on here has tried to contact Martyn? Who has phoned Roy Merryweather and asked him directly if there's any news? No? Well stop moaning then!

Martin, sort of guessed that but I thought that I would clarify the situation before Woody comes on and makes an [****!!****] of himself again.

on www.thisiswindsor.com has some bad news for you lot

http://www.thisiswindsor.com/?module=displaystory&story_id=1013&format=html

Meanwhile, Eddie Denton has spoken to five players about possible moves to Slough Town.

But he has not been given a budget to work from and this is unlikely to materialise until chairman, Martyn Deaner, makes an announcement about the club's future - a statement which has been 'imminent' for the past few months.

Denton has simply been forced to 'make his interest known', but is already way behind in the chase. He is interested in two midfield players - one who can play at centre back - one centre half, one left-sided player and a striker. Denton said: "I have made holding calls only, but those players already have offers from other clubs."

why am I not surprised? When the club goes down the tubes ,next summer more than likely, I hope we have a contingency plan in place

well, lets see, reforming at a lower level means lower costs all round - travelling, player wages, and the like. Reforming at a lower level means the initial stadium development doesn't need to be as big as what we need now so it's cheaper, meaning you'll be more likely to a) get someone to invest in it and B) getting the council to greenlight it. I daresay you might even be able to get a cheaper arrangement for rent if it was being run by the supporters (something Windsor Chairman Peter Simpson has said himself).

The simple fact remains that the club, in it's current state and it's current level is as attractive to investors as a timeshare in chernobyl
