No news of any more pre season friendlies yet?

 

Is it proving a difficult task or just a lack of effort or does the club want to keep it to the minimum for other reasons?

 

No news of any other players leaving or joining yet?

 

If there are going to be other players leaving I would have thought Eddie would have told them by now so they can find another club or perhaps there are no more players leaving?

Not really Adrian Brown, Ryan WilliamsLee Riddle did not leave until after our first pre-season match of last season in a friendly against Basingstoke in July behind closed doors.

I think that is a bit unkind and sarcastic. In any case, neither is it rocket science to understand that just because nothing has been given to Gary, it doesn't mean that nothing newsworthy has happened - it may well be that stuff deliberately is NOT given to Gary, to make sure it ISN'T posted.

Then there being no posted news, people are not sure whether to believe that or not and it leads us to go looking to see if actually there is news, but it is being kept quiet. I assume by Gary you mean Gary Thomas here, because Gary Chappell is a different case again in terms of finding out unposted news......!)

For example, as there has been no posted news to rebut Mr Simpson's published fears, does that mean he is quite justified to be worried?

This forum is read by other supporters (many of whom share your concerns) but they are not privy to any secret sources of information. Once news is announced by the club whether directly to the website or to the papers - it finds its way on here pretty rapidly and then we can all discuss away. But personally I don't think that constantly posting about the lack of information is particularly helpful.

I think there are a lot of sarcastic comments and nasty replies to questions on here. If you find the questions annoying then dont answer them. It doesnt hurt anyone to be polite.

yeah you're right. I sincerely hope i didn't hurt anyone's feelings and to those people whose feelings I did hurt, write down all your complaints on a piece of paper, preferably with a nice letterhead, stick it in an envelope and send to someone that gives a crap because I sure don't.

I'm sorry if you feel that trying to cajole some information and attempting to get the club to admit it may need some assistance is unhelpful, but I suspect that isn't as unhelpful as being able to do nothing because the club kept quiet until it was too late.

Martin has a point. We could scream for news to be released every day, post 15 new topics titled "WE WANT NEWS NOW DAMMIT!", but SHOCK, if there's nothing to tell than nothings going to get posted. We all know deep down that the club has one or two seasons left to live in it's current state anyway so rather than trying to plug the breach we should be preparing for what comes afterwards

No need to get like that Andrew. My point is more that your preaching to the converted on here.

 

The only person who knows what Martyn Deaner is going to do is Martyn Deaner (and even then I am not always entirely sure he knows). To my knowledge Martyn Deaner has never posted on this forum and may never have even visited.

 

I don't believe it will ever be "too late" provided the great fans of this club stick together.

Andrew, I hope you are refering to this this thread, and not to posting generally, as I find your posts well thought out.

There is quite obviously something going on (examining the chicken entrails and occaisional snippets I've picked up support this), but whether anything will come of it, only time will tell. Maybe its best not to speculate, but I'm not going to criticise someone who speculates constructively.
