Seems like a good idea, would undoubtedly increase the local interest and boost crowds.

Would probably increase the level of entertainment in that it would be something to play for!!

Margate vs Ramsgate every year, held at Southwood and Hartsdown on alternate years good idea??

Look, the post wasn't about building sites or which ground is better, I was just trying to sound out the interest for a more competitive game between the two Thanet sides

A local derby is pretty competitive in itself...havent got a problem with the idea though.

Rams hood rat, I think it is an excellent idea, and we should foster strong links anyway between the two clubs, seeing as it is everyone's interest in the area to have strong football teams, whichever one we support.

Added to the fact that Ramsgate were very hospitable when we played the KSC match against Cray there, and I appreciated that on an otherwise very inhospitable evening due to the weather. Nice bunch of people over there.

Rivalries aside, we are all supporters of the game. Canterbury City and Ashford used to do that years ago, and had a cup and everything, and got reasonable support.

MFC and Rams use to do it a while back as well. Tonbridge Angels & Tunbridge Wells do it, and I think Folkestone and Ashford do it too. A good idea.
