Got the Kaiser Chiefs album for my birthday - well good!

 

Now this possibly is a contender for best album of the year.

Can't hear any similarity myself really. Perhaps vocally, at a pinch.

 

Kaiser Chiefs have a heavily synthesised and electro- sound, much in the same vein as the Killers or the Bravery, whereas the Libertines think they're a mid-70s punk band.

 

I find the Libertines very uninspiring. Quite liked their Don't Look Back Into The Sun single, but their first album (admittedly I haven't heard their second) is pretty dull on the whole.

Useless fact: The band are named after them as their favourite Leeds player, Lucas Radebe, used to play for them.
